The striking, tri-color tower that houses the MGM Macau contains 222,000 sq. ft. of gaming space. That number is set to go up in the near future (by 47,000 sq. ft.!!) as an expansion was announced to compete with a similar expansion put in motion by the Wynn Macau. Post-expansion MGM would jump up to number 6 on our list.

MGM Macau is located on the waterfront in a prime location within the Nam Van gaming district of Macau. The hotel tower rising 35 floors above the street and glistens in the evening sun in three shades of opulent gold, blue, and bronze. The sea can be seen reflected and shimmering in the glass.

An architectural highlight of the property is the Grande Praça. The central plaza has a glass ceiling 75 feet above the floor and blends amazing architecture reflecting the diversity of macau. For instance the north end is modeled after Lisbon, Portugal's central train station that was built in the 1800's.
